Oryx offers a broad range of services in the Data Warehousing area including Project Management, Business Analysis, Design and Development at the Enterprise Level or Department Level with Data Marts.
Design Services
Oryx will primarily use the Dimensional Data Modeling – Star Schema Design Pattern (refer to Ralph Kimball). This technique is widely adhered to in Data Marts but can be extended for Dimensional Enterprise Data Warehousing “EDW” (refer to Chris Adamson). We believe this design technique lends itself best to agile Data Warehousing development, by reducing the steps involved in getting useable data to the end user.
Project Management
Oryx has project managed a magnitude of projects and can assist clients in this area. Our project managers will coordinate stakeholders and developers and update senior management of progress on the project.
Business Analysis
Oryx has extensive experience in Business Analysis and will add value to the conceptual overview of the Data Warehousing project. The objective of the business analysis process is to determine the business requirements and how best to get there with digestible stages. This stage will also identify the resources that will be required for the project depending on the scope.
